How to connect to Internet

Creating BDCOM Dialer:
 

In XP Platform:

 Click on  Start > connect to  > show all connection >Create a new connection>Next>tick on connect to the internet>Setup my connection manually>connect using my dialup modem>ISP Name BDCOM>Auto hunting number - 0101335 > type user name password and confirm password>Next>Finish.

In Win98 Platform:

My Computer Dial-Up Networking Make new connection Type here: BDCOM. Next Auto hunting Telephone no like: 0101335, Next finish. Right click on BDCOM Properties Disable the area code.

Then go to Configure connection: disable the wait for dial tone. Then go to Option: enable the bring up terminal window after dialing OK. Then go to server type (Networking): disable all options without Software compression & TCP/IP.Then go to TCP/IP Settings: enable Specify name server address:

Primary DNS: 210.4.77.180 and Secondary DNS 210.4.77.181 then OK.

Short Cut to desktop: Right click on bdcom Send to desktop as shortcut.

 

Connect To Internet

Step 1

Double click the "BDCOM” OR “BDCOM1” icon

Step 2

Click "Connect" or ’’Dial” button

Step 3

After a while you will see a black window containing User name:
Type your username here and next line type your password and finally press Enter .

When you will see your dialing screen minimized at the bottom taskbar then you are connected to internet (i.e. you have connected to Internet)

If you want to connect by terminal window then just give one tick to the properties of the dialer as like below

Click on Start>connect to >right click on BDCOM dialer >click on security>tick on terminal window box

Then again Click on BDCOM Dialer and Click on Dial

The following Black Screen appears. Type your user name and password.


Finally Click on Done.

 

E-Mail Prepare, Send & Receive and Eudora configuration

Step 1

Double click the “Eudora" icon from the BDCOM folder.


Step 2

From the “Message’’ menu bar click "New Message’’ or click "New Message" button on the toolbar. A new composition window is displayed now Type the E-mail address in To field.
Field From has been automatically filled in and can’t be altered.

Press the Tab key or point and click the mouse to move the cursor down to the Subject field. Typically, would enter some brief text indicating what the message is about.

Type your mail in the bottom white area

 
 
Step 3

You can attach any file like: MS Word, Excel, Picture etc. Press Ctrl + h or clicks on attach toolbar, and then select the drive, folder and the file name.
Click "Queue" button. The mail will save in out going box.


Step 4

Now get connected with BDCOM Online according to previous procedure. When it is connected click on check mail from toolbar or from file menu. Password might be asked. Type the same password. Out Queued mail will send Incoming mail if there is any. At least you will see the message: You have new mail or not.


Step 5

After sending & receiving your mail you should be disconnected from online. The bill will count until you disconnect.
Double click on connection Icon. Click on Disconnect.


Step 6

After disconnect you can read or print your incoming mail. You can delete, read, print your incoming or out going mail from In Box and Out Box.
If your mail returns to you, you can be sure that the email address is not correct. In that case- open the mail and click on message menu click on send again. Correct the address and queue again. Take online connection and try to send the mail again.



Eudora Configure

Double click on Eudora Icon>tools >Internet Options >click on getting started> then fill up the form as like below:

Then click on ok or press enter.



Password changing:

You can change your password using Eudora: Take online connection -Open Eudora -Special Password- change- type here your current (Present) Password- Enter Type a new password more than 6 digit (mix up capital & numeric) press Enter- type new password again and press Enter on Wait. Password will be changed.
